Cristin Stanley-Potter
I am a CAPPA trained labor doula who has also recieved training as a pregnancy fitness educator. I have worked with mothers in Pikeville and the surrounding areas for the last 3 years. I also host monthly meetings to discuss pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and parenting with local mothers. I work hard to provide the women of our area access to quality, evidence based childbirth education, labor, breastfeeding and postpartum support, regardless of their financial situation. I feel that all mothers and babies deserve the very best start possible, as well as the best care possible during this special time in their lives.
I have three children of my own, and have had three very different pregnancies, births and breastfeeding experiences. I've had two hospital births and most recently a home birth. I am extremely passionate about natural childbirth, but am supportive of whatever educated choices my clients make for themselves and their babies.

I am a CAPPA trained labor doula an an Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice trained and certified lactation counselor serving Pikeville and the surrounding areas. In addition to my work as a doula and lactation counselor, I am employed as a counselor for a college prep program for high school students. I first gained a passion for birth related work in 2009 when a student confided in me about an unexpected pregnancy and asked me to help her gather and sort through information about pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding. I am very passionate about helping women and their growing families achieve an empowering, safe, and evidenced based birth and breastfeeding experience.
